21 days!

That's right, there are only 21 days left of school, and I am freaking out! I only have 21 days to assess, test, finalize, prepare, teach, etc, my little angels. On top of all the assessing and testing we have an end of the year program to perform for the entire school and the parents in about 4 weeks.
I am thankful that I have a team of 3 other kinder teachers to help prepare for this performance. Trying to teach 70 plus kinders the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language should be quite interesting!

Until next time!

Today's Dollar Tree finds!

I have been searching and searching for the little trash cans with the swinging type lids. Score... I finally found them today at my local Dollar Tree. Now naturally they didn't have 4 different colors but I choose 2 different colors and will make it work!  You may be wondering, why I need 4 little trash cans with swinging type lids - well I shall tell you! It is my plan (who knows if my Kinders will buy it) to use these for all the little snippets of trash that my Kinders will be doing at their tables.  I hope this will keep the tables a little cleaner and keep them in their seats a little while longer!!! I will get back with you on this and let you know how this goes!

My second find was the package of 3 chopping mats - one green, yellow, and red.  My game plan is to use them for phoneme segmentation. I think I can tape them on the floor and let them jump for the sounds.  I bought several sets.  Sorry it's sideways! Run run as fast as you can and grab you a set or two!

Here are the trash cans with the swinging lids!

My room is by NO WAY complete - I should have taken a picture of the way way before picture! Lol However, the above pictures are proof that I was working for days and days on end moving into my room! Well lets just say this is a beginning to the end of being almost prepared for a new school year!
And for my OCD friend -- you know the one that tosses and turns, wakes up at 3am and rearrange shelves (in their mind because she lives 7 miles out of town)- No the walls are NOT complete- the room is NOT finished! Oh wait..... who is this OCD friend??? I live 7 miles out of town, I toss and turn and wake up at 3 am ( only because I went to bed at midnight) and yes I did rearrange the shelves in my mind over and over and over. Enough already!!! I am DONE! Well, who am I kidding, with the big stuff anyway.  Like I said in a previous post, I am all moved and that was the primary goal.  I shall post more pics when the rest is complete. Until next time! :-)

I am finally all the way moved! Everything has been put away ( well don't look in the corner by the computers). Now all I need to do is have curtains made, hang banner, hang bunting, put up alphabet, numbers, pocket charts, etc...... I do feel a teensy bit better though! No make that tons better! I can see the floor, walk all around the room without tripping over a pile of stuff.
